Benefits by choosing us
Peak Shaper is Norway's first commercial battery service for large-scale batteries, and we are proud of this.
Flexible, powerful and sensible
Peak Shaper utilizes the variations in the power grid, lowers the consumption peaks and contributes to the use of the existing infrastructure becoming more efficient. In this way, new consumption can be connected more quickly.
This makes us energetic to meet the green shift. We sort things out and ensure that customers get access to increased capacity quickly. We will help shape the future where society's needs for electricity are met, and the green shift is supported in a flexible way.
An important part of our value base is created through the people who deliver the Peak Shaper service. Our job is to find sensible and good solutions so that our customers get the best possible solution to their problem. We must be curious, exploratory and flexible in everything we do. Peak Shaper therefore gives you flexibility in each cell - both through the battery system we supply and the people who assist.

The story behind Peak Shaper
PEAK SHAPER IS INITIATED, DEVELOPED AND OWNED BY EIDSIVA ENERGI AS.
Eidsiva is Norway's largest regional energy and infrastructure company, with operations in Innlandet, Oslo and Viken. The Eidsiva group supplies critical infrastructure such as electricity, telecommunications and heat, and has a total of 1,165 employees in the fields of internet, broadband and bioenergy.
Over several years, Eidsiva has worked on how batteries can be used for energy storage. In 2016, the company carried out the scenario work "Eidsiva Future Congress", which outlined how batteries could solve capacity challenges in the power grid.
Since 2017, Eidsiva and Bellona Holding have collaborated to develop the battery industry in the Inland, and in 2018 launched a feasibility study for battery production in the Inland.
In 2019, the Innlandet Battery Initiative was started by Eidsiva and Bellona Holding, financed by Innlandet county council, Laje AS and Innovation Norway. Other partners in the project were NTNU Gjøvik, Sintef Manufacturing and INTEK.
In 2021, the project launched a synthesis report to promote R&D and industrial development in the value chain for batteries through, among other things, a recommendation to initiate business development and piloting of batteries for use in the power grid and other infrastructure, and to develop robust and secure management systems for batteries for use in critical infrastructure .
Eidsiva Vekst is the company in the Eidsiva group that works to create growth through business development, concept development and innovation investments. Peak Shaper is one of several ongoing projects and services from Eidsiva Vekst.
